Knoxville Movement Collective (KMC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through movement. We believe that outdoor activity should be free, inclusive, and accessible to all. From group runs and hikes to rides, paddles, and local partnerships, our programs create opportunities for connection, belonging, and a healthier Knoxville.

We know movement is more meaningful when it’s shared. Whether someone is new to town, trying a new activity, or simply looking for community, KMC is here to make sure no one moves alone.

About US

KMC brings people together through free outdoor events, creating space to get active, build meaningful connections, and strengthen Knoxville through local partnerships and service.

OUR MISSION

  • We believe fresh air, sunshine, and the outdoors make everything better.

  • Movement is a way of life, whether it’s running, riding, paddling, or walking together.

  • Real connections matter. We show up for each other on and off the trail.

  • No matter your pace, background, or experience, there’s a place for you here.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • A consistent schedule of free group runs, rides, hikes, paddles, and workouts that make active living accessible to all.

  • Strengthening Knoxville by bringing people together through shared experiences and inclusive gatherings.

  • Giving back through volunteer projects and by partnering with local businesses and nonprofits to create a lasting impact.

OUR PILLARS

“I was burnt out on running until I met the amazing people in KMC. They gave me a stronger motivation, new friends, and a love for the outdoors!”
