Your city. Your pace. Your people.
KMC Running is a community-first run club based in Knoxville, built for people who want to get outside, move their bodies, and feel good doing it.
We’re not here to obsess over pace — we’re here for consistent miles, fresh air, and good people.
Whether you’re training for your next race or just starting your running journey, there’s space for you here.
-
KMC Running is Knoxville’s community run club — built on connection, not competition.
We meet multiple times a week for free, all-paces runs across the city. No pressure, no pretense — just real people moving together. Whether you’re training for your next race or just want to get outside, you’ll find a place here.
We’re not about ego. We’re about showing up, cheering each other on, and creating space where everyone belongs.

KMC Running is for anyone who loves being outside, moving their body, and running at a pace that feels good.
Some of us race, some don’t — all that matters is showing up. Whether you’re training hard or just here for the miles and good company, you’ll fit right in.
-
Maria & Eric lead from the front, while Ashley walks or jogs at the very back to make sure everyone stays together. At this run club, no one’s ever left behind — it’s truly for all paces.
Most people run between a 9 to 13 minute mile, but there’s no “right” pace here. We group up so everyone has someone to run with, and you’re always welcome to take walk breaks or adjust the route to fit your vibe that day.
If you’re working toward that 13-minute mile range, reach out to Maria — she’ll help you get there!
-
Wear something comfortable and breathable — you’ll definitely warm up once we get going.
Make sure to stay hydrated, especially as it gets warmer out. We recommend bringing water and adding electrolytes (like Liquid I.V) if you can.
Sunscreen and sunglasses are also a smart move.
Bring a friend, bring your dog, or just bring yourself. Everyone’s welcome!
BTW: A light snack about 30 minutes before the run (think banana or Pop-Tart) can go a long way! -
Absolutely.
KMC Running is both a run club and a race team — you’ll find us at start lines all over Knoxville (and beyond), sometimes chasing PRs, sometimes just running for fun. Whether you’re racing hard or soaking up the vibes, we show up together.
For those who want to go bigger, KMC Racing is our competitive branch that spans all disciplines — running, biking, paddling, and more. It’s how we represent KMC in the wider race and event community.
So yes, we race. And we race as a team. Look for KMC at your next start line!

MEET MARIA
Hi everyone! So happy you found our little community!
My love for running began on the soccer field, where I played midfield throughout middle and high school. I loved covering the full length of the field — it pushed me physically and mentally, and I thrived on that challenge.
After graduating in 2020, I carried that love of movement and grit into distance running. When the pandemic hit, running became more than just exercise — it became a way to stay grounded, get outside, and take care of my mental health. Over time, it turned into a kind of therapy for me.
Whether I’m clearing my head on an easy run, pushing my limits in a speed workout, or exploring new routes with friends, running continues to bring me joy, perspective, and community.
It’s given me a sense of accomplishment and connection, and I’m passionate about helping others experience that too.
I’ve completed a wide range of races — from 5Ks and 10Ks to half marathons and a full marathon — and I’m currently training for another marathon this July in Utah.
I am so excited to meet each of you and go on some adventures together!
