KNOXVILLE MOVEMENT COLLECTIVE (KMC) TERMS & CONDITIONS + LIABILITY WAIVER

Effective Date: AUGUST 18th, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in any Knoxville Movement Collective (KMC) activity or event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, including the Liability Waiver below. If you do not agree, please do not participate.

2. Eligibility

Participants must be 18 years or older. Individuals under 18 may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Code of Conduct

We expect all participants to:

• Show respect to others.

• Prioritize safety and good judgment.

• Follow instructions from KMC staff or volunteers.

Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate removal from KMC activities.

4. Assumption of Risk

Participation in KMC activities — including but not limited to running, walking, hiking, paddling, and other outdoor fitness events — comes with inherent risks. By taking part, you voluntarily accept all risks of injury, illness, property damage, or death associated with participation.

5. Liability Waiver & ReleasE

You release and hold harmless Knoxville Movement Collective, a Tennessee nonprofit corporation, including its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and partners, from any and all claims related to your participation — even if resulting from negligence. This includes but is not limited to injury, illness, property damage, or loss.

6. Medical Treatment Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize KMC representatives to seek emergency medical care on your behalf. You are financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result.

7. Media Release

By participating in KMC events, you grant permission for KMC to use photographs, video, and media featuring your likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, websites, and printed materials.

8. Privacy Policy

KMC collects basic personal information for safety, communication, and planning purposes. Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties, except as required by law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. If any part is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will remain in full effect.

10. Agreement

By joining KMC, checking the waiver box on our new member form, or participating in any event, you confirm that you understand and agree to these Terms & Conditions and the Liability Waiver.
