Knoxville Movement Collective Is Officially a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit
We are excited to share a big milestone for Knoxville Movement Collective. KMC is now officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This step allows us to deepen our impact, expand our reach, and continue building a healthier, more connected Knoxville through movement.
Since launching in June 2025, our mission has stayed the same. We exist to bring people together through free, accessible outdoor activities. Whether it’s a weekly run, a group ride, or a morning hike, we believe that movement is more meaningful when it’s shared. And now, with our nonprofit status, we’re able to grow that mission in new and important ways.

Nonprofit status allows us to build more programs, offer more events, and increase access to movement for people across East Tennessee.
Ability to Accept Tax-Deductible Donations
All contributions to Knoxville Movement Collective are now tax-deductible. This helps us cover essential costs like permits, insurance, supplies, safety resources, and the continued expansion of free weekly events.
Stronger Partnerships and Community Support
As a nonprofit, we can now partner more easily with other organizations, local businesses, and community groups who want to support accessible movement in Knoxville.

This status creates a foundation that will allow KMC to grow intentionally and sustainably, staying true to the values that brought us here: community, accessibility, and movement.

Our commitment to making movement welcoming and accessible to everyone will never change. This milestone simply gives us the tools to reach more people and create even better experiences for Knoxville.

This is just the beginning. Our team is already planning more events, new partnerships, and ways to bring our mission to more neighborhoods and communities across East Tennessee. We’re excited for what’s ahead—and we’re grateful for the people who show up, week after week, to make KMC what it is.
